Many people have had glimpses of the freedom from separate sense of self or longer periods of resting in pure awareness. Whether this occurred unintentionally or through a particular method or letting go of methods, it can be considered an initial “waking up.” Some consider this transcendent "not-dual" state the goal of awakening and end up in a detached witness, a couch-potato stage, or continually “getting it and losing it.” People who come to Loch often report being stuck in a cul-de-sac of a detached state of pure awareness, not having a map or pointers to the fullness of living from awakening.
Just as there are helpful pointers to "waking up," there are ways to discover the unfolding of “waking-in” to a natural embodied well-being and “waking-out” to be able to create and compassionately relate. It is not enough to simply see through or deconstruct the mini-me. Awakening is a shift of knowing and identity in which we discover a new awareness-based operating system to live from open-hearted awareness. You will learn Loch's awareness inquiries, glimpses, and nondual pointers to help realize our capacity to be boundless and embodied, free and interconnected, joyful and supported, surrendered and empowered, unconditionally loving and naturally welcoming of all parts.
This retreat is for those who will have read Loch’s book, Shift Into Freedom, and listened to the audio of the meditations before the weekend. This is not to exclude anyone, but to be able to dive deeply into the support of realization, abiding, expression and unfolding.
The fees include, teaching fees, housing accommodations, two delicious vegetarian meals and a snack per day, (non-gluten and non-dairy options available at every meal), general facilities use (hot tub, hiking trails, ball courts, small lake for swimming, etc.)
