This series of three self-paced video courses is designed for those who are familiar with, or trained in, IFS therapy. It includes a blend of theory, experiential methods, and skill building to help you embody a Self-Led Life.
Loch Kelly presents at IFS conferences and has co-taught three five-day workshops on Accessing Self with IFS-creator Dick Schwartz. He created an original method to directly experience Self as clearly as you can distinguish a part within you.
In this program, you’ll learn to access Self through the liberating nondual practice of Effortless Mindfulness and a series of unique Glimpsing exercises tailored to different learning styles.
Join renowned psychotherapist and Mindful Glimpses app creator Loch Kelly to learn the transformative tools that have helped 1000’s of IFS therapists and clients flourish.
Loch offers his contemporary ways to ‘glimpse’ our awake nature immediately and heal our wounded parts. When Loch and I have taught together, I have found, for myself and students, that Loch’s practices are amazingly effective.
When you sign up for the EM+IFS training program, you’ll get:
“Loch’s methods of accessing Self are the missing link in my IFS training—I’m having amazing results with clients being able to unburden exiled parts and live from Self leadership.” ~Amy R.
Psychotherapy and spirituality alike describe the “essence” that we call the Self with terms like soul, the divine, Buddha nature, or the core seat of our consciousness. In my experience, once parts make space we can all have access to this core of who we really are… we cannot help our clients until we can help ourselves.
-Richard Schwartz, Phd, Internal Family Systems Skills Training Manual
In this self-paced introduction to EM+IFS, you’ll learn a new psycho-educational approach to experientially navigating your consciousness during the day, seamlessly shifting out of a parts-based view into Self Leadership. You’ll learn:
In This Training You’ll Learn:
Here’s what you’ll walk away with:
Effortless Mindfulness is informed by the Internal Family Systems model of therapy. A basic working understanding of IFS is helpful in learning how to internalize, navigate, and flourish across the 5 Levels of Mind. Why is this the case?
Most popular mindfulness programs begin with Everyday Mind and end with Subtle Mind, which is the second level in Loch’s model. Effortless Mindfulness really diverges from other mindfulness paths at Level 3, which is Awake Aware Mind.
This is the ever-present dimension within us that is always awake, calm, clear, and untouched by worry, doubt, shame and fear. This marks the life-changing discovery of consciousness beyond thought-based knowing.
However, moving past awake awareness into the other levels of mind requires some basic understanding of parts work. Why? Because as we traverse the 4th and 5th levels of Mind and Self, parts are going to come up.
And we need to learn how to navigate those parts in the most wholesome and effective way to further heal, liberate, and awaken our own consciousness and so you can live with abiding calm, clarity, and compassion. And it is Levels four and five of the mind that makes the real difference in this model as we integrate our full human experience.
To this end, in these three self-paced courses, you’ll receive an organic blend of theory, practice, and reflection exercises to help you realize these higher potentials.

“The overarching goal of IFS is access to the Self.” – IFS Founder Dick Schwartz
Most people coming to EM+IFS already know the basics of IFS. What they’re seeking—and what they say was missing—is a deep experiential shift from parts-based managers to knowing and being Self. This program is focused on helping you make that transformative move.
In this three part EM+IFS Certificate training, you’ll learn how to directly access Self through a variety of simple and direct methods that you can also bring to your clients. For any of us to do Self-to-parts in IFS, we need to know and be Self. That way, we have direct access to Self and can help clients access it too.
Just as we learn to distinguish a part within us, there are also tools to clearly realize Self. And from this ground of Self, we can share these methods with our clients or adapt them so clients can work with exiles. So you’re training to know Self for yourself so that you can lead your clients in the same direction.
In this training we do not work with exiles or address the nuances of clinical situations. Instead, we focus on practical methods for accessing Self.
To do that, we start with unblending from the primary managers so you can recognize the felt sense of Self. And we share tools that you can adapt—different doorways to Self that suit different learning styles and address different obstacles.
To earn your certificate of completion, you’ll complete a 10-question quiz after each of the three sections.
When you buy the EM+IFS Training Program, you also receive a professional certificate of completion and two live Integration and Q&A calls (July 29th & Sept) with Loch Kelly.
When you complete all three courses and pass each course quiz, you’ll receive a certificate of completion in the EM+IFS Training Program. This is an educational training and not a teacher certification. This does not certify you as an IFS therapist or coach or as an Effortless Mindfulness Facilitator or teacher. This certifies that you have demonstrated basic competency in the EM+IFS methods of accessing Self and you can weave these skills into your existing helping profession.
